Goal for this month:
Make better choices.
Okay - so I saw the new Matrix movie today.... I liked it!
I saw the clock today at 11:11, and it's 11/11. My favorite number!
In rereading my post for the 1st - well, first of all I'm completely surprised that it's been 10 days since I last posted - here I thought I was getting back on track. I HAVE been working a lot more than I'm used to. I'm not as young as I was, either.
Halloween threw me a sugar curve. I was feeling a lot better, so I figured it would be okay to eat all that candy. WRONG!
I've been feeling like a change is coming soon - my cocoon is about to open. Who knows what I'll be when I emerge.

11/1/ 03 Wow! I wanted to post today, even though I didn't make anything... I think I may be coming out of my depression! I've been in the best mood that I've been in for a loooong time, and I'm starting to feel like making contact with the human race again. I've started back on the Potatoes, not Prozac" plan, and it makes such a difference, so fast! I'm such a sugar addict, but I know it makes me depressed. (Guess that's what addiction is all about. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it.) Well - this program makes it so easy for me! Last time I started the plan, I went from a size 20 to a size 12, and from suicidal, to happy. That was about 3 years ago. Since, then, I've managed to stay at a size 12, but had a few stressful situations come up, and trigger the comfort eating. So for the last several months, I've been eating progressively more sugar, and getting more and more depressed. About 4 days ago, I started eating the bedtime potato, and already I'm feeling so much better. Wish me luck! One of the reasons I haven't posted all week, is because I've been working a lot for other people. Helping my sister and her catering business - see the beautiful table at the right... Helping at Oskadusa - my favorite bead store. Working on taking photos and building a website for a musician friend. (It's not done yet, but soon!) Anyway - thanks for listening, and Happy Beading! 11/11 I made these earrings last week at the bead store. Carved Amethyst, and freshwater pearls, with gold filled beads and earwires, for about 10.00 per pair. I made 2 other pairs, but sold them before I could get their photos! :) Guess I'll have to make some more.... M-7 C-2 F-4 V-2 E-0 |

11/13 I'm working on a Faerie Light... The first pic is the paper - Vellum, with lots of glitters and iridescent inks. The 2nd is my work table with the project in progress. Check back tomorrow for the finished lamp. If you look closely, you can see my gold plated(!) X-acto knife. M-6 C-2 F-2 V-1 E-0 |

11/14 Here's the finished lamp - off, then on. Too bad the glitter doesn't show up more in the photo.....It's really pretty sparkle-y! M-6 C-3 F-3 V-2 E-0 |

11/16 I made a key fob out of old African Trade Beads for my nephew's birthday gift - but in the rush of picking up my mom, and getting us to the party on time, I forgot to take it's picture.... M-7 C-3 F-4 V-2 E-0 |

11/18 I'm having a hard time finishing anything today... I've started an Instruction Sheet for the Flower Fields Bracelet. I played with my beads, but couldn't decide on colors for another bracelet. I also started a box using the scraps from the lamp I made the other day. The first layer is drying, so It may take a couple of days to finish, as I add layers and wait for them to dry. 11/22 Here are a few pairs of earrings I made as samples for Oskadusa. (Onyx, yellow jade, pink opal, and onyx.) All but the pink opal earrings cost less than $10.00 to make. And they're great Christmas Gifts! M-5 C-1 F-4 V-0 E-0 PS - Hi Sandy! |
