Howdy, Bead Friends!
I'm settling in nicely out here in the country - surrounded by Nature - so beautiful and peaceful. I feel like I'm in a healing process from the abuses and pollution and stress of "civilization", but I do miss all my friends and family in California...
So - I've come up with a new "Bead Commitment" for the next while:
I've written down about 30 different categories of beading and other arts, and I'll pick one every Sunday to be the theme for that week. Things like Beads, Boxes, Critters, Purses, and a few wild cards. I find I need a little "challenge", and I'm amazed at how much I can accomplish when I do a little something every day.
One of my favorite sayings is "Baby Steps!' - meaning - Just do a little bit, don't worry if it's not perfect, just enjoy it, and do the best you can. You don't have to do everything all at once. Pretty soon you'll be dancing!

Theme of the Week: Wild Card - Paper
Monday, May 17 I needed a new coupon envelope, so here's one with a photo of one of the trees in the yard in bloom. I'm calling it a cherry tree, but we'll have to wait and see what kind of fruit it gets!

Tuesday, May 18 This is a little "report folder" type thang that holds note paper to keep in my purse. (8 1/2 x 11 paper cut into approximate 6ths = 4 1/4 x 3 1/2. I can use up my scrap computer paper - you know - those printouts where you found one more mistake?) The cover picture is a photo of some vellum that I sponged, spattered and glittered for another project. ( I photographed the paper before I cut it up to make a lamp.) It looks really good, almost like it has glitter on it!
