Happy New year!

This past year has been hard for me. Maybe I'm going through my mid-life crisis? I'm hoping this year will be a little easier, and lots more fun!

First I'm going to post the Christmas gifts I've made, then I'll try to continue the Daily Creation thing - I only have another month to go to make it a whole year - even though I haven't posted every day, I've learned about myself, and also learned some new techniques.

I hope to get inspired/motivated enough this year to actually do some of the things I've had on the back burner for a while - new classes and patterns, even a book or two.

I made this stuffed Celtic Dragon from a pattern in Soft Doll Magazine for my new grandson, Ronin. It's about 8" tall.

When my 5 year old grandson, Diego, was visiting, he just loved the gremlin that I made for myself, so I made one for him. This one is holding the Earth in his arms, and he glows in the dark.

My 7 year old granddaughter, Tabitha, likes to make things, so I made her a kit to make jewelry. It's got a thread cutter, a bead scoop, elastic, and carded nylon thread, along with a Vellux beading pad, and lots of beads!
My 12 year old Grandson, Malcolm, got a computer dragon - but I didn't get its photograph. I made several of them for all the older boys in the family.

Here's set of hair bugs for Ronin's Mom, Gena.
For my son, Sky, I made a keycharm. The snake bead somehow reminded me of him (he's got a new tattoo with a snake on it) and the Fatima hand charm refers to the time we lived in Morocco when he was 2 years old.
For my Daughter, Chrystal, I made a purple fairy. He's about 6 inches tall, has hair made of wool roving, and dragonfly wings (look closely - they don't show up too well in this pic).
Mom wanted a Gwenevere's cuff.....
And my sister, Connie, asked for a wrist lei bracelet.
Her son, Jon, got a computer dragon. It will guard his computer and keep it from crashing!
My other sister, Robin, asked for a necklace to go with the bracelet I made her last year. I made earrings, too.
My brother-in-law, Jeff, and my nephew, Josh, got computer dragons, too.
My niece, Beth got her own set of hair bugs.

Here's a pic of a work in progress for the DIY Jewelry Making TV show. It'll be a bracelet made with Herringbone stitch, from a pattern graphed from a photo with Stitch Painter.

Yup - you read it right - I'm gonna be on TV! I'm way excited, and a tiny bit nervous..... I have to have 3 of every step beaded by Feb. 3rd, when the show will be taped. Not sure when it will air, but I'll keep you posted!
